The Willow Basket Creek Trail is named after the creek that the east end of the trail follows. The east end of the trail meets the Victor Creek Trail #117 and the Loon Lake Trail #081 about 3 miles south of Chinook Campground. The west end of the trail begins at Ruby Meadows and is shaded by tall evergreens. The trail is open to the following uses: Hiking, Horseback Riding, Motorcycle Trail Riding, ATV Trail Riding first 5 miles from Ruby Meadows.
Directions:
From Ruby Meadows: Travel north from McCall 30 miles and turn right on Forest Road 364 into the Ruby Meadows dispersed camping area.
From Chinook Campground: Travel northeast from McCall 37 miles on Warren Wagon Road, about 8 miles past the Burgdorf junction. Turn right onto Forest Road 378, a single lane gravel road, and continue for about 1 mile to the Chinook Campground. From the campground, take the bridge across the creek and follow Loon Lake Trail #081 for 2 miles. The Willow Basket Creek Trail leaves to the north.
